What seems at first glance to be a deep dive into a minor historical footnote (ancient Chinese civil service exams), this article ends up being a thought-provoking foray into the idea of merit, educational evaluation, and curricula. Feature-length, so it requires a heavy investment of time; as well as the fact it is sci-comm, which means it's going to be a bit of a slog, but there's a lot to take from this. Thumbs up.
