Even for science communication, this one is a bit of a stretch. Theorizing efficiency in algebraic equations is a tough sell to audiences, even (I imagine) to mathematical audiences. Pop quiz - when's the last time you devoted any thought to mathematical theory? To why we do math certain ways and not in others? If your answer is "Never", like me, then skip this article.
