Overall, this article was good and highlights a lot of the AI activity as it infultrates seemingly every corner of industry. My only frustration was the blind repeition, without any due diligence, that NewsGuard identified AI-generated misinformation websites. Perhaps NewsGuard was able to identify AI-generated content and websites, but there is no evidence that any of it was misinformation, and even more to this point, it's difficult to get AI models such as ChatGPT to spit out misinformation or untruths, so the author should have been more skeptical here before repeating lines from NewsGuard's latest series of press releases to promote their paid product.
