I get that it seemed people were frothing at the mouth for some violence and action, but the article feeds into the frenzy with: "orgy of regime change fantasies," "libidinal excitement," and a 'massacre' including multiple 'casualties,' the victims of which aren't actually people, but this amorphous idea of credibility. Sex and violence sells, I guess.
