This is a very surface level article that misses the opportunity to examine for readers the longstanding relationship between NPR and the U.S. government. I think it's silly for NPR to abandon Twitter for the label, and think it'd probably be a better business decision to come out and state that they will refuse U.S. government funding going forward so as to relieve themselves of the label if they find the affiliation problematic and/or only a tiny percentage of their funding.
