Faulty Analogy
September 29, 2022
This naïve article calculates the earnings of all the big CEOs in the health industry after the pandemic obviously made their company’s stocks rise like never before. The authors fall into that old fallacious dichotomy of poor vs rich and compare the value earned by executives through equity valuation (which consists of more than 90% of their earnings, according to the article itself) with the average household income in the US, an annual salary.
