Interesting article justifies why taxi drivers used to avoid certain riders and neighborhoods in the past, before ride share apps replaced them. Content tells anecdotes in place of in-depth data due to insufficient data collection by law enforcement and the companies. The article avoids data that would specify any group of people as the majority violent criminals victimizing gig workers. Omitting these facts decreases credibility but protects people from scrutiny so there's that.
