This is a good, balanced update on the open carry policy in large retail stores. My first thought is that the policy won't work, because there is no clear policy really. They're politely asking customers not to bring in guns. That just means gun owners will have the right to enter with their guns, and then employees at the stores will have to try to approach that individual about leaving the store until they can come back without the weapon? Also, and this may be naive, but my first thought was that gun owners who don't want to go home or to their cars to put away their guns, might just hide them in the bushes out front of the store. This article does well to bring up these inevitable instances.
