A pretty good look at the recently discovered sinkhole (how did they not see this sooner?) and the geographic circumstances that make sinkholes like these so common throughout China.

A short article reporting that explorers found a prehistoric forest at the bottom of a giant sinkhole in South China. It was nice to know about karst landscapes, and the kind of plants they're finding in these holes. I'd love to see it, I wish the author included some pictures.
