A very good piece about the US Air Force using VR to teach pilots how to manage aircraft and missions. The article mentions previous training with other devices and wargames, and other use cases of the metaverse for the military. It makes a lot of sense, it's a cheap way to train some of the important skills they need in the real world. The author points out there is big defense potential, partly because military training is important and costly.
