This article might be the strongest argument in favor of the fruitcake. I am very biased against fruitcake, the only pleasant memory I have of fruitcake is when Pee Wee Herman received a fruitcake on his Christmas Special and handed it over to a workman that added the fruitcake to the brickwork that extended the playhouse. Content is very convincing to at least try to make a fruitcake carefully through autumn to serve at the holidays. The article is an enjoyable read and helps preserve an important aspect of cultural heritage.
