This piece gives a ton of great context and insight into attempts to revolutionize the news media revenue model. Obviously, many of these efforts have fallen short and we have not yet found a clear way to get news readers to pay for quality journalism, but from my experience running Credder, I can say that it's true from the piece that readers want to be more involved in the funding, creation, and editing of news content that they support.
