This is a very well-written and nuanced look into Richard Dawkin's Twitter comments that resulted in the loss of his 1996 Humanist of the Year award. I believe the author does this story justice by properly sourcing Dawkin's tweet so that readers can determine for themselves the level of perceived attack on transgender people. I personally believe he was trying to raise an interesting debate around transracial and was simply using transgenderism as an example of where the principled stance amongst the left breaks down or is at the very least a source of confusion.
