SCHODACK — A rural stretch of road in Schodack will be closed on Friday morning as a runaway manure truck is retrieved.“We had a manure truck come down Schodack Landing Road,” town police Chief John T. Hourigan told the Times Union. “He lost his brakes, went across Route 9J, hit a parked car and went down the embankment.”&nbsp;Route 9J will be closed between the intersections of Ridge Road and Knickerbocker Road starting at 9 a.m. on Friday.Schodack Landing Road from Muitzeskill Road to state Route 9J will also be closed.There were no injuries as a result of the crash, in which a van was also &nbsp;dragged&nbsp;down the 70-foot embankment.Heavy rains have resulted in what Hourigan characterized as muddy soil.“It’s a bit of a delicate recovery,” Hourigan said.Officials expect the operation to last two hours.The driver of the manure truck, a registered farm vehicle that was on route to a local farm, has been charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, Hourigan said.The road will be open to traffic after the vehicles are recovered, police said.The incident is the second in two days in which a truck accident forced a road closure. were shut down Wednesday&nbsp; when a boom lift being pulled by a truck smacked into the Sitterly Road overpass of the heavily traveled highway in Clifton Park, causing structural damage.
