It also endorsed Mayor de Blasio in the 2013 Democratic mayoral primary.AdvertisementNED handed Yang its stamp of approval at a small news conference outside a catering service in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, where the group holds its meetings. The endorsement burnishes Yang’s bipartisan appeal, but may impress few progressives in the Democratic primary.“I had the pleasure of meeting with the New Era Democrats a number of weeks ago, and I was struck by their love of pragmatic approaches,” Yang said. “They just want solutions.
