It also nullified the zoning ordinance already in place, which is why officials had to consider it again.The Wayne council&nbsp;and all local governments in that&nbsp;position&nbsp;were given six months to amend their zoning codes.Councilwoman Francine Ritter, representing&nbsp;the 5th Ward, was the only member of the governing body who opposed the ordinance. Officials should weigh&nbsp;the positive impact that weed sales might have on the township's economy, she said."The practical reality is that the state's allowing it, and dispensaries will&nbsp;be surrounding us," said Ritter, a Democrat."The mayor said he doesn't want to be that kind of town," she added. "I don't really know what you mean, but if you're coming&nbsp;at it from a commercial perspective, you're basically saying you don't want to be the&nbsp;kind of town that captures tax revenue."Legal weed&nbsp;will come with&nbsp;two state taxes and a municipal&nbsp;tax.
