PHYSICIANS TO BE ABLE TO PERFORM LEGAL MEDICAL PROCEDURES IN OUR STATE IF THE LIMITS ON THE KILLING OF UNBORN CHILDREN IS A DECIDING FACTOR ON WHERE A PHYSICIAN LOCATES HIS OR HER PRACTICE, THEN THEY WOULD BE INFLUENCED BY THIS BILL. ANOTHER BILL WOULD PROHIBIT NEARLY ALL ABORTIONS WHEN A FETAL HEARTBEAT IS DETECTABLE THAT CAN HAPPEN BEFORE PEOPLE REALIZE THEY’RE PREGNANT. One bill would limit which types of doctors can perform abortions. Another would go further and take away a doctor’s medical license if they perform one, with rare exceptions.“We are limiting a procedure that does kill a child and, therefore, yes, we are attempting to limit when that procedure is used and how often that procedure is used,” said State Sen. Julie Daniels, R-Bartlesville.Democrats question whether that bill would discourage doctors from coming to Oklahoma.“Is this going to help us as a state to be able to attract physicians to be able to perform their legal medical procedures in our state?” state Sen.
