This is a great article outlining some of the state's ideas on how to mitigate the financial cost of high-value real estate being swallowed up by the sea along our coastline. I admit that I could be misunderstanding the proposed buy-to-rent program, but it appears like rich seaside homeowners are using their political power in California to offload their soon-to-be destroyed mansions to the state government so that the financial burden rests with the California taxpayer.
