NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Columbia University announced its plans to hold six additional&nbsp;graduation&nbsp;ceremonies for students according to their race, income, and other aspects of how they self-identify.According to the school's&nbsp;website, the additional&nbsp;graduation ceremonies for Columbia College, Columbia Engineering, General Studies,&nbsp;and Barnard College&nbsp;at the end of April will be held for Native,&nbsp;Asian, "Latinx" and Black students&nbsp;taking place.Another "FLI Graduation" ceremony will be held for "first-generation and/or low-income community" as well as a "Lavender" graduation for the "LGBTIAQ+ community."The ceremonies will take place online due to COVID-19 restrictions.The university is also hosting a general&nbsp;commencement ceremony&nbsp;on April 30.
