Terrifying justification of state-run censorship efforts. Military will now decide what is “polarizing viral content” from among all the fake news AND legit criticisms of US govt. With an extensive track record already of independent journalists being censored by social media platforms, formalizing this oversight will only ensure it gets much worse. The internet is full of good & bad content. It’s not up to the govt to decide what people are allowed to see. Censorship by any other name is still censorship & a massive slippery slope down into an authoritarian & fascist dictatorship

Hey, what POSSIBLY could go wrong with DARPA censoring the internet!!! The term "fake" occurred >15 times. The term "Cambridge Analytica" was absent from the article.
