This was a terrific article shedding light on a concept that I'm not sure I knew existed. Author Jeff Stein, who does terrific work for WaPo and Vox, creates a very enjoyable read that'll make you scratch your head and rethink possible approaches to solving wealth inequality in America. Stein doesn't interject his take on the topic, and instead lets various sources from all over the map share their perspectives on the idea of some variation of a sovereign wealth fund. Terrific reporting and I wonder how long until we see this topic take over the political debate on the left.

Jeff Stein gives an amazing overview of a new proposed plan to tame capitalism consisting in having the government buy shares in public companies. Jeff starts by explaining Corneo's idea in depth, and then spends the rest of the article providing points and counterpoints in regards to the topic giving the reader a lot of information both pro and against the plan. The benefits of these actions are supported by real-life examples in other countries, and the explanation of the potential drawbacks is kept unbiased enabling the reader to keep researching the topic at the end of the read. Amazing article.
