She is going to use every lever she has to make Boston more equitable, more innovative, and more livable for every person.”Wu, an at-large city councilor who’s been running for mayor since September, said she was “honored” by the endorsement.Rushing served in the state House from 1983 to 2018, when he was upset by current state Rep. Jon Santiago — who on Tuesday announced for Boston mayor.City Councilors Andrea Campbell and Annissa Essaibi-George are also running, with others considering jumping in, too.Rushing represented his home neighborhood of the South End, plus parts of the Fenway, Roxbury and the Back Bay.
