This piece is fairly surface level, and at times, the author uses language that sensationalizes and leans into opinion such as the first paragraph, "The impacts of climate change have been real so far this year for the Midwest. Historic flooding has ravaged multiple states, and don’t even get me started on last month’s heatwave." The rest of the piece was much better, but this first paragraph felt unnecessary and made me take the piece less seriously.
