An interesting article from a credible source. Although, a caveat is that the linked sources are almost exclusively links to other confirmatory pieces from the same outlet. Some readers may find this troublesome. Additionally, prospective readers may find the mildly contradictory nature of the article a bit odd. To wit: "Five big economies are at risk of recession. It won't take much to push them over the edge." and then later: "All of this is consistent with our view that global growth is slowing rather than collapsing" However, the reader may wish to note that with all things related to economics, or 'the dismal science', as it's often called, opinions can be highly variable. Nevertheless, some may find this a worthwhile read, particularly if one keeps the aforementioned in mind.

Sensational
August 19, 2019
Much of the information in the article may be accurate, but the tone of the article is definitely sensationalist. For example, the very first sentence framing the piece is "Five big economies are at risk of recession. It won't take much to push them over the edge." Sensationalist language like "push them over the edge" serves to lead the reader, whereas I'd prefer the author stick to reporting the information at hand and letting the figures inform the reader's conclusion.

A mix of sensational wording to make this topic seem increasingly dire, followed by light context and few sources as to why each major country is close to a 'recession' - deciding to make speculative judgments instead.

most all of the economists in most of the credible news sources see this very same trend, remember, Brexit is on for 10/31. They have no plan for 11/1. this is not some yahoo ( not the server) out here selling wolf tickets.
