Phil Scott last year that requires facial coverings in public settings where physical distancing is not possible. The action resulted in multiple attempts for compliance from local police officers and eventually caused UPS to sever its relationship with the location. Last week, Vermont Attorney General T.J. Donovan filed a civil lawsuit, the motion for a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction against the store. "I hope that Mr. Desautels follows the lead of countless other Vermont businesses who have followed the governor's orders," Donovan said Tuesday. "This entire situation is completely avoidable."The case is currently in Orleans Superior Court, where the case's defendants reside.
