I think it's unclear if Musk fully supports Yang. He was obviously teasing a bit and 'support' is not the same as 'endorse'.

Agree, the article is just a re statement of Musk's tweet, which gives no detail about why he endorses Yang and a listing of some of Yang's positions.

This article does a nice job of stringing together the series of tweets that makes this a truly newsworthy story. Although Elon's support was merely a tweet response to well known historian Dan Carlin, it shouldn't be considered an endorsement. I'll let it slide because the author, who likely know he was overstepping, gave himself some wiggle room by saying that Yang's policies "appear to have earned an early endorsement".
