Carolyn Gordon said.They arrived to find a boy with multiple gunshot wounds, and rushed the juvenile victim to a hospital with injuries that were life-threatening, according to Gordon.It’s unclear who shot the child or what transpired leading up to the gunfire.The victim has not been identified by authorities.But a set up Monday identified him as Mario Ramirez, a local Catholic school student who loved basketball and video games. He was in stable condition and expected to recover, but would need extensive physical therapy, the page’s author said.A preliminary investigation found that the boy was in front of the house when a car pulled up and at least one person got out of the vehicle and began firing. The boy was shot at least two times, Gordon said.Police are looking for at least three male suspects and a light-colored, four-door sedan, but a more detailed description was not available, Gordon said.The lieutenant initially said investigators hadn’t yet determined whether the child was the intended target in the shooting.
