I'm amazed to have just stumbled across this article. I'm surprised I missed this story when it was released on July 30th. It is so powerful to be able to hear a sitting president (at the time of the recordings) speak, allowing us to hear the man's own words first-hand. This is an amazing read and I recommend anyone and everyone dive in. It's perfectly broken up with real audio recordings. The author Tim Naftali does a truly noble job of storytelling while also remaining out of the story, and providing context to the recordings in a balanced way.
