Get the latest BPR news delivered free to your inbox daily.&nbsp;CHECK OUT &nbsp;for best SWAG!Op-ed views and opinions expressed are solely those of the author.The Biden administration’s tacit support of the proposal by Dallas Mavericks’ owner Mark Cuban to stop playing the national anthem before games has some raising questions over both men’s ties to the Chinese Communist Party.Asked during a briefing Wednesday about the matter, White House press secretary Jen Psaki refused to condemn the move and instead spoke of “recognizing [the] moments where we as a country haven’t lived up to our highest ideals.”“I haven’t spoken with the President about the decision by Mark Cuban on the Dallas Mavericks or I should say the national anthem, but I know he’s incredibly proud to be an American and has great respect for the anthem and all that it represents, especially for our men and women serving in uniform around the world,” she began.So far, so good.“He’d also say that, of course, that part of pride in our country means recognizing moments where we as a country haven’t lived up to our highest ideals, which is often, and at times what people are speaking to when they take action at sporting events,” she continued.“And it means respecting the right of people granted to them in the Constitution to peacefully protest. And the question remains, why won’t you and the NBA explicitly condemn that?” Kelly asked him.“I personally put a priority on domestic issues. Asked during an interview this past weekend about why he hadn’t yet called Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss, among other matters, the nation’s human rights abuses, .“I had 25 hours of private meetings with him when I was vice president, I know him pretty well. He’s very bright, he’s very tough, he doesn’t have, and I don’t mean it as a criticism, just as a reality, he doesn’t have a democratic (small-d) bone in his body. We don’t need to have a conflict, but there will be extreme competition,” he said.What was that supposed to mean?He’s also banned the term “China virus” despite the coronavirus originating in China, and he’s eliminated Trump era policies that were meant to hold China in check.Meanwhile, even as he jumps through hoops to protect the feelings of the CCP, Biden continues to trash America — just like Cuban.
