This small piece of writing gives a good overview of the issue proposed. It connects, giving valuable and accurate references, the rise of AI with the climate impact of training said models. While the author gives plenty of resources for the reader to investigate the topic, the 'Rich get Richer' paragraph could have been expanded a bit more to result less speculative. Overall this is a very good and credible piece.

This is a very interesting topic and I just wish the author had gone into greater detail. The resulting environmental cost of computing for Bitcoin is becoming more well-known, so it'll be interesting to see how the AI angle makes bigger news in the future as more people become aware. I hope to see a follow-up story from Karen Hao soon.
