The filing specifically mentioned Dobbs' comments related to claims that the company helped rig the election against Trump.However, a spokesperson for Fox News denied the contention to the , saying, "As we said in October, Fox News Media regularly considers programming changes and plans have been in place to launch new formats as appropriate post-election, including on Fox Business. This is part of those planned changes. A new 5 p.m. program will be announced in the near future." The show has aired on Fox News Business since 2011. Dobbs had started his cable news network career with CNN in 1980 as the host of "Moneyline." He later hosted various shows under different names until landing on "Lou Dobbs Tonight" in 2003.The show garnered very high ratings and had just its 100th straight week of viewership dominance over CNBC, its competitor, according to Nielsen Media Research.Trump released a about the cancelation of Dobbs' show soon after the development was confirmed. "Lou Dobbs is and was great. Nobody loves America more than Lou," Trump said. "He had a large and loyal following that will be watching closely for his next move, and that following includes me."
