The information presented is credible as I've been able to catch up on this issue the night it happened. I feel NBC oversteps its bounds a little when presenting information about the shooter's family has had a single incident of an alleged crime - and correlating that to maybe why the shooter would be violent. Beyond this i'd say that the context is good.

Sensational

It's worth noting that the host in the video above tries to turn the blame on Instagram. She goes as far as to say about the shooter's posts, "it's up there and shared and shared and shared" even though there's no evidence that his posts were shared at all. As far as the article itself, I agree with reviewer Jared F. that the authors overstep by trying to attach a dismissed sexual abuse allegation by the shooter's grandfather into the mix. The incident at the Gilroy Garlic Festival was disturbing enough, and the added bit about his grandfather feels gross and unnecessary. Because of that piece, I marked it as sensational.
