byViacomCBS will launch advertising-supported streaming service Pluto TV in France next month, vowing to "transform" the country’s TV and streaming market.ViacomCBS&nbsp;Networks International, in the latest step of the global rollout, said Pluto TV would introduce the service in France on Feb. 8, highlighting that it will become "the first FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) service to debut in the country."The service will allow French audiences to stream 40 curated and original channels. Its library will include content from both ViacomCBS brands and third parties through "partnerships with a large number of leading international and French publishers, broadcasters, and distributors with the aim to deliver constantly fresh and varied content," the company said. Among the channels are Pluto TV Ciné, Pluto TV Action, and Pluto TV Drama."The launch of Pluto TV in France marks an important step for the growth of our company's streaming presence in Europe," said&nbsp;Olivier Jollet, senior vp emerging business at ViacomCBS Networks Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. "Pluto TV has already demonstrated its strong appeal in many markets across the world like the UK, GSA, Latam, and Spain. I'm sure that with its market-centric approach and extensive reach, Pluto TV's innovative digital model will transform the French streaming and television market, both in terms of consumer experience and Ad sales offer."Pluto TV will be available on all major streaming devices, including TV sets, smartphones, tablets and PCs, via&nbsp;www. pluto.tv,&nbsp;apps on Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast and the iOS and Android apps.Pluto TV previously launched in the U.K., Germany, Spain and 17 countries across Latin America, including Brazil. Overall, the service is now available in&nbsp;24 countries with almost 36 million active users worldwide.&nbsp;ViacomCBS said Italy would be the next market to launch Pluto TV in late 2021.
