A good look at an interesting problem in the world of privacy and technology. More akin to a press release than anything else. Nevertheless, informative, to a point, but its brevity is a weakness. More context should be provided particularly as to fundamental differences between the two services referenced. Other than that, which is, admittedly, a minor quibble, a worthwhile read. Additionally, a good (hopefully) sign that people are concerning themselves more with digital privacy and the right to privacy in general. For as someone once said: "Saying that you don't care about your right to privacy because you have nothing to hide, is like saying you don't care about your freedom of speech because you have nothing to say."

A very short overview of what's happening with Signal after Whatsapp changed their privacy policies. Good news is that we have alternatives to escape from the abusive use of our data. Good piece, but the last paragraph left me kind of suspicious as if we have room to come up with some conspiracy theory related to the problems mentioned in Signal.

This is a pretty good update on the reaction many users have had, deservedly or not, to WhatsApp's updated privacy policy- owned by parent company Facebook. The video above the article also has some good additional context. It's nice to see users taking their messaging needs to the platform they believe most respects their data and privacy, it will be a great message to other players in the industry that consumers do in fact care about this issue- meaning big tech will have to care now as well.
