&nbsp;Tuesday, Sep 13th 2022| 13Vice President-elect said she and President-elect are ready to 'multitask' as they'll come into office needing Congress to quickly pass more COVID-19 financial relief - and with the Senate picking up the impeachment trial of President .&nbsp;'We know we have to multitask there,' she in an interview Thursday. 'We have to multitask, which means as with anyone, we have a lot of priorities and we need to see them through.'Harris might have an additional job on her plate on day No. 1, as some experts believe as president of the Senate she could chair Trump's impeachment trial, as opposed to Chief Justice John Roberts.&nbsp; on an ongoing debate between impeachment scholars, law professors and political scientists over who chairs the impeachment trial of an ex-president.&nbsp;The Constitution calls for the chief justice to preside over a president's trial because otherwise the president's No. 2, the vice president - who is the president of the Senate - would be in charge.&nbsp;That person would inherit the White House if the president is removed - and so has a conflict of interest.&nbsp;Another person who might end of doing it is the Senate's incoming president pro tem, Sen. Patrick Leahy.&nbsp;&nbsp;Last week, the Democrats won both run-off elections in Georgia and will control the body once Sens. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, as well as Harris, are sworn in.&nbsp;Harris, as vice president, will be the body's tie-breaker vote.&nbsp;sharesSpeaking to NPR, Harris talked about being in the Capitol Building during the riot.&nbsp;Trump was impeached for 'incitement of insurrection' after encourating supporters on January 6 to march on the Capitol.&nbsp;They broke in in a violent incident that killed five in the immediate aftermath.&nbsp;'It was horrific. It was a day that wherein we witnessed an assault on America's democracy, a day when we witnessed the terror that a few can wreak on so many,' Harris recounted.
