Great Context

The only small fault with the article is when the author quoted the director of the Tricontinental Institute for Social Research without stating that she is a coordinator for the very same. This is shown in the authors CV synopsis at the bottom of the article but I think it should have been stated more clearly for the reader.

The article is from a Left wing perspective and assume reader has some understanding of the history of American empire. It is very plausible that Venezuela could be another Vietnam as described, this is not a new line of thought, just one you will never see in corporate news.

The article takes the unconventional warfare against Venezuela by the US as a fact that needs no support, and similarly that it is directly responsible for the hardship there.
