Here’s how it happened:This past summer down in the WNBA Bubble (or as some call it, the ‘Wubble), the players orchestrated several campaigns to keep the conversations going and to bring awareness to issues such as racial injustice and police brutality and advancing the Black Lives Matter movement.&nbsp;However, Atlanta Dream co-owner and US Senator (Georgia, Republican) Kelly Loeffler disagreed with what the players were doing and said, "I don't think they have a place in sports," she added. "Sports need to be about unity and bringing us together.”You can read more about Loeffler’s letter to WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert .Following these comments, the Dream (as well as the rest of the league) advocated for Raphael Warnock (D) in the upcoming election wearing t-shirts throughout the Wubble that read “VOTE WARNOCK.”. On Wednesday January 7, he beat Loeffler in the senate race.&nbsp;But Loeffler still has her spot in the WNBA, owning a 49 percent stake in the Dream. The question is, how much longer will that last?, there has been some interest in an investment group buying the Dream, including former NBA player Baron Davis.“The league is aware that discussions with potential buyers are ongoing,” Engelbert said in a statement on Wednesday. “Once those negotiations are concluded, additional information will be provided.”It sounds like there is a lot of interest coming from the NBA in regards to an ownership group for the Dream, including the two future Hall of Famers James and Anthony.&nbsp;
