Most of it was accurate, portrayed events as they happened. However, the second half of the piece was opinion based rather than fact-based

While the author unnecessarily injected his own opinion into the article, the majority of the article was a simple, brief description of the events that happened.

This article does a nice job briefly summarizing the incident. There are moments in the piece when the author injects his voice and position regarding the man involved, which felt unnecessary. Especially when it becomes about identity politics saying “You, a white male, can’t say you’re showing respect when you are literally stealing the microphone from a woman of color...” At the end of the day, this was a poorly executed protest but the candidate and protestor’s gender and race should have nothing to do with the conversation.
