This is a good look into the weaponization of the term "fake news" and some of the agenda-driven and opportunistic "solutions". I agree with much of the article's main premise, which is that teaching critical media literacy is essential to solving this problem, but I would simply add that technology and even corporations more broadly can be part of the solution so long as they empower news consumers rather than stifle their critical thinking skills.
