MONDAY NIGHT - CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS APPROVED 500-THOUSAND DOLLARS BE REALLOCATED FROM THE CITY GENERAL FUND TO IT'S COVID RELIEF FUND. CITY LEADERS SAY THE NEED IS HIGH AND FAMILIES ARE DESPERATE.  BACK IN MAY - THE CITY ALLOCATED 600- THOUSAND FOR COVID RENT RELIEF. THAT MONEY IS ALREADY GONE.  THIS NEW 500- THOUSAND WILL BE FUNNELED THROUGH TWO PROGRAMS. "IMPACT" HELPS PEOPLE BEHIND ON THEIR MORTGAGE PAYMENTS. AND "HOME, INC" PROVIDES HOMELESS PREVENTION ASSISTANCE. PEOPLE WHO QUALIFY WILL RECEIVE 3 MONTHS OF ASSISTANCE.
