Relying so much on a 37-year-old running back doesn’t seem ideal for an 0-11 team, but Adam Gase has upon veteran rusher Frank Gore.&nbsp;With the waiving of former star Le’Veon Bell in October and a current IR stint for rookie La’Mical Perine, Gore is with Indianapolis.&nbsp;The 16-year-veteran received 18 of the team’s 21 rushing attempts in Sunday’s 20-3 loss to the Dolphins. Waiver claim Ty Johnson carried the ball twice and Josh Adams ran it once against Miami.&nbsp;“We’re going to just keep trying to rotate those guys as well as we can. The flow of the game really doesn’t always go as smooth as you want,” Gase said Thursday. “I think, with the amount of games we’ve got left, I feel good about [Gore’s workload]. I mean, watching him practice, you can’t tell. … He still looks pretty good in practice.”&nbsp;Gore didn’t participate, but he typically doesn’t on Thursdays for load-management reasons.&nbsp;Mekhi Becton has enjoyed with the Jets, with several demolishing blocks, but offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains has been just as impressed by the first-round left tackle’s learning curve.&nbsp;“You see the highlights. His splash plays are amazing for an offensive lineman. You just don’t see tackles in the NFL making those SportsCenter-worthy type plays,” Loggains said. “But his consistency, every time he’s faced these good pass rushers, different fronts, different defense … he’s a guy that doesn’t make the same mistake twice.&nbsp;“I think that’s really important to take that next step. That’s where I think he’s grown the most as a player, his knowledge of the game.”&nbsp;The Jets placed linebacker Blake Cashman (hamstring) on injured reserve, meaning he will miss at least three games. Offensive linemen Pat Elflein (shoulder) and George Fant (knee/ankle) and receiver Breshad Perriman (shoulder) were limited in practice.
