But the Upper Peninsula is labeled ... "Canada."Look, just because the Yooper dialect shows similarities to Canadians (eh?), that doesn't make the Upper Peninsula part of Canada. As we all know, the U.P. was granted to Michigan in 1836, a year before Michigan was admitted to the union, in exchange for Michigan ceding the Toledo Strip to Ohio.
