[SHOUTING] SARAH: THE GENERAL MANAGER AT SERB HALL TELLS ME THEY DID WHAT THEY COULD TO KEEP PEOPLE SPREAD APART. HE SAID THEY SOCIALLY DISTANCED 450 TABLES AND CHAIRS. BUT WHEN PEOPLE WEREN’T COMPLYING WITH THE RULES, THE MANAGER ENDED THE EVENT EARLY. THAT’S WHEN HE WAS ATTACKED BY SOME OF THE PEOPLE THERE. &gt;&gt; ONE GENTLEMAN RUSHED ME AND PUSHED ME AND TWISTED THE MICROPHONE OUT OF MY HANDS. AND THEN AS HE WAS MOVING AWAY, PUSHED ME AGAIN. The Republican Party of Milwaukee County worked with Serb Hall to put the rally on, but Serb Hall's general manager Nicholas Alioto said when people weren't complying with social distancing rules, he and his staff tried to shut it down.Alioto told WISN 12 News he was attacked. "One gentlemen rushed me and pushed me and twisted the microphone out of my hand and as he was moving away, pushed me again, and so I attempted to get the microphone back and grabbed, him and at that point, a number of people in the crowd pushed me to the ground and started kicking me," Serb Hall general manager Nicholas Alioto said.Alioto said although he was attacked, he's more upset at the citations he could receive from the health department. "The health department did come to my office with my board president here after the rally, told us we were going to receive three citations, for $500 each," he said.In a statement to 12 News, the health department wrote: "The health department worked with Mr. Alioto the day before the event to explain what the rules were and what the potential consequences were for violating those rules. When the health inspectors arrived after the rally begun, they saw people not wearing masks, people not social distancing and the crowds exceeding the maximum allowed number of people at an event like this. Health department policy is if inspectors spot a violation, the health department no longer gives warnings so Serb Hall should expect a citation.""This just highlights to us that this was inappropriate for the city to put us in a position where we have to enforce their laws, this is not what we're trained to do," Alioto said.Police said they arrested one person, although they did not say why.A Trump rally at Serb Hall in Milwaukee was shut down Saturday afternoon.
