Houston has seen its share of and new .Now the same is being done for dance in Houston.The parking lot of 's Center for Dance is the site of a new outdoor venue for dance performances created for the big screen.The Houston Ballet Drive-In, downtown at 601 Preston Street near Louisiana, is an additional component to its otherwise virtual – allowing it to bring dance to Houston in a safer, socially distant way, while providing a method to make up for some lost revenue. The company hopes to return to live stage performances at its Wortham Center home by early 2021.Currently playing is the third annual “Frame X Frame Film Fest,” in partnership with , a local company known for creating and championing dance on camera.The festival will screen about 50 films, Thursdays-Saturdays through Dec. 5.
