Amazing how something else again that people don't care about is screwing us over. Yes stopping deforestation would reduce epidemic breakouts and save us a lot of money "in the future" and that is the problem. "in the future" money is so much less appealing than the "money NOW" that we just let the destruction of everything keep going.
