As of 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, President Trump was in the lead 51.44% to 46.99% over Joe Biden, though the former Vice President was named the presumptive winner of the state.Spokesperson for the Michigan Secretary of State calls the difference a delay."We only update the website when counties report their complete counts to us—even after counting is finished in individual counties (thereby giving results) there are still administrative and procedural things they need to do before the transmission happens, so sometimes it takes some time." Tracy Wimmer, Director of Media Relations for Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson told us.
