A brilliant example of how to conduct an interview. Additionally, this is another reason why I am an admirer of this particular Author. In what may seem like a lengthy piece (it isn't - so please do read it) but in reality is fairly brief, the Writer is able to ask substantive questions that elicit substantive answers. Yeoman's service in this regard. Concise and precise the prose is as crisp as a fall morning in the Northeast. No extraneous frippery. No slavish obsequiousness. Nicely done and a worthwhile read. Five stars!

This is a one-on-one interview; Gates could complain if Yong mis-represented his views. But the two have an ongoing relationship that make it very trustworthy
From the several other pieces by Yong that I've read, and from Gates's many public comments, two ALSO share a perspective on pubic health and general well-being.
This interview is at a very understandable layman's level that clearly expresses the concerns about the devastation from COVID. I won't try to say how precise Gates's claims are of the harm that COVID has wreaked, but they are consistent with everything else I read
This is yet another useful, well-written article from Yong.

A good investigative interview with Bill Gates on the lasting damage and lack of preparedness around the world for this pandemic. Thoughtful questions and sincere answers.
