Update: On Oct. 19, Chris Shepherd announced he had received two negative tests back from COVID-19, just days after testing positive. The chef concluded his earlier diagnosis may have been a rare false positive. He says he is still feeling great. He said he got tested for COVID-19 when he returned home Tuesday morning. The test came back positive.He also got tested for antibodies, which he didn't have. "(This) shows it's a new infection that likely occurred on the trip," he said.A few staff members who Shepherd was in close contact with on Tuesday tested negative, as did his fiancée, Lindsey Brown. Shepherd will quarantine for the next 10 days."Everyone at Underbelly Hospitality remains diligent about wearing masks, washing hands, social distancing and maintaing the safest environment for staff and guests," he said. "We love you all. Thank you for the support. Please stay safe."Underbelly's restaurants, which include One Fifth and UB Preserv, remain at 50 percent capacity.
