The two, who work for Whiskey Kissed Co. -- a vendor that sells home decor -- were at the outdoor farmers market from about 10 a.m. to noon, Enfield officials said in a statement. When market organizers got word of the apparent positive diagnosis, the workers were told to leave immediately."They did know they were positive. They had been notified. It's one vendor but two people in the same tent. They both had been notified in the last 24 hours that they were COVID positive," said Enfield police Chief Roy Holland.Enfield Town Manager Ryan Aylesworth said both workers broke the market's rules, which prohibit those who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive or been in close contact with someone who tested positive from participating."We certainly feel that it was an incredibly poor and dangerous decision on their part," Aylesworth said.Aylesworth said a person who knows the two notified market organizers of the reported positive tests."The vendor was immediately confronted about the COVID positive. They voluntarily left the market without incident," Holland said.Everyone at Saturday's market, including the two workers, was wearing a mask, which organizers require, Aylesworth said.Enfield officials have contacted the state Department of Health and Human Services. Aylesworth said nobody who attended the market is believed to be considered a close contact, which is defined as someone who's been within six feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes. But the police department is making a list of people who think they may have been exposed.It's unknown if any charges could be filed. "We're still gathering all the facts. I will be reaching out to the attorney general's office on Monday just to make sure they have all the information that we have gathered together.
