This is not news. This is public relations in the form of a press release dutifully reposted by a supposed "news" outlet. That someone actually claimed a byline on this dross is, frankly speaking, staggering. This piece could just as likely have been machine-generated and no one would be the wiser. In fact, let's go even further and say that this for all intents and purposes is the original press release issued by the referenced companies, presented by the "journalist" in slightly altered format and regurgitated as reporting. Neither interesting, informative, nor anything else for that matter. Pointedly, it's an affront to the intellect to call this news or journalism for that matter. Don't waste your time. Watching paint dry would be more edifying.

Press release for Microsoft's recent acquisition. Not much journalistic detail aside from acknowledging the public announcement.

It reads a bit like a press release and doesn't go into depth on any of my immediate questions, such as Microsoft's 5G strategy and their past acquisitions in the 5G space.
